The NAACP has invoked the tactics of the jackal in attacking the Confederate battle flag and other Southron symbols. In an opportunistic manner, they are systematically picking off targets on the periphery that they deem weak, and therefore obtainable. The Lee mural in Richmond was damage by vandals and made vulnerable, the plaques in Austin were moved once to a less conspicuous place and made vulnerable. Any sign of weakness is probed and exploited. Why haven't they attacked Lincoln? Those who deify ol' Abe should, read more here:

The mall in Washington, D.C., the capital of Nebraska, the penny, the five dollar bill, and countless schools await cleansing of this racist's name and image. The NAACP continues to waste time on "small potatoes" like flags, plaques, and murals. Why? Because that's how a jackal operates. I admonish Southrons to stay vigilant without becoming paranoid. If they can destroy our values and good nature, the battle is half theirs.
The following emphasizes why hypocrites will continue to plague society (bold emphasis mine):
"He [Machiavelli] recommends to the prince that he use hypocrisy when ever expedient, to gain power. This cannot be effective in the long run, since the prince's important relations are with other princes. The Frenchman La Rochefoucauld is not usually rated as an idealist, yet in a famous maxim he tells us that, 'hypocrisy is the tribute which vice pays to virtue.' By this he means that hypocrisy works only because the majority of men are not hypocrites and are therefore not suspicious. When all princes practice deceit it soon fails to get results for any of them."
