Press Club Scholarship
Each year, The Press Club of Western Pennsylvania awards a $5,000 scholarship to an outstanding collegiate journalism student. The scholarship is awarded in May at the annual Golden Quill Awards Dinner sponsored by The Press Club.
Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college or university for at least two years. They must be able to demonstrate why they should receive the award. Their primary residence must be in one of the 29 counties of Western Pennsylvania covered by The Press Club (see list below). The scholarship money will be credited to the winner’s account at his or her university or college. The winner also will receive a plaque in recognition of the award. Deadline for this year's scholarship is Jan. 15, 2010. The winner will be notified by April 15, 2010.
