Pressure Washing

uses high pressure water to clean surfaces. This guarantees the removal of a few microns of paint from painted surfaces every time and only the mildew and mold that is visible. Mildew and mold spores are microscopic. This process leaves behind the mildew and mold spores which become visible within 3 months. That is what painters do to keep themselves in business. We are not painters. If you use a company that takes shortcuts it can also cause thousands of dollars in damage. Most people believe using 3,000 psi or greater to pressure wash is the quickest and most effective way to get the job done. That amount of pressure can destroy wood and other surfaces including brick! The old style unfired brick can explode when pressure washed. Quite often, too much sand is used in mortar. This makes it weak and susceptible to be washed away by a pressure washer. The current trend in brick making creates an antique or multi colored brick. Pressure washing such brick can remove the multi color, leaving only the original color. If you pressure wash a composition roof, it will remove the granules and destroy the roof.

Power washing

uses low pressure (damage free) water and house cleaning chemicals to clean surfaces and kill all of the mildew spores. By low pressure I am talking about the amount of pressure that a hand sprayer attached to your garden hose puts out. No paint is removed and its color is restored. The house cleaning chemicals that Katy - Memorial Power Washing uses are green products and safe for children, pets, plants, and the environment. We do not use the box type cleaners that you buy at Lowes or Home Depot which perform poorly. We use professional strength chemicals that remove more than just mildew and mold.
