Best Of America by Horseback

     In June of '08 six of us riders set out for Midwest Trailride in Norman, IN to join up with Tom Seay and his Best Of America by Horseback crew. Tom travels all over the country and farther to feature different places to ride. We girls (dubbed as "The 6 Pack") knew we'd have a good time camping, but never expected the overwhelming sincere "down to earth" attitude and graciousness of Tom and his traveling "family". His wife Pat was there in addition to trainers Kerry Kuhn and Julie Dillon. Del Shields who also travels with BOAH entertained us with his wonderful singing while strumming his guitar. He often paused to recite some cowboy poetry which was a real delight! On Saturday night we were treated to a home-cooked meal complete with wine glasses, china, and cloth napkins. No plastic dinnerware in sight!

   All of this sounds good, but what was even more of a treat was the wonderful genuine attitude of Tom and his gracious staff. We were treated like royalty and as if WE were the stars of the ride as opposed to THEM. The entire weekend was remarkable and an experience none of us will ever forget!
