It was Fall of '99, and I'd just leased to buy Onesimus Tar--nicknamed Little Man by the current owner. I had a month to try him out to see if he and I would make a "fit". After saddling up my new horse, I wondered how he'd handle all the TP that hung from the tall maple tree in our front yard. With little urging, Little Man walked into the flowing, blowing TP. As he stood for this picture, I could feel a faint shudder. With this display of his bravado, I felt that I'd found my trail horse! |
