Eons ago, most of Texas was under a shallow, inland sea. There is a steep, caliche ridge running across the ranch that was once sea bottom. Kids (and adults) have always enjoyed hunting 100,000,000 year old fossils there. One morning, that's exactly what we did!
Rachael and Brooke looking for ancient sea creatures.
Whoa! Rachael finds it hard to keep from sliding down the hill.
Brooke soon learns that it's easier if you stay sideways to the slope.
