Born Theresa Lee Barbieri, Terry Portillo lives in The Woodlands, Texas, with her husband and teenage daughter. Terry and her husband own ACU Air Heating and Air Conditioning, located in Conroe, Texas, where they maintain a motley crew of rescue dogs, a quarter horse, and a donkey. When Terry isn't running the business or teaching an occasional class for Lone Star College, she likes to ride her horse, attend movies and plays, throw dinner parties, or curl up with her cat and a good book.
